It all started with a swipe! Jasmine and Jamel met the modern way: by swiping right on a dating app in November of 2017. Jasmine had just moved back to Red Hook, NY from Florida and Jamel had just been relocated to Fishkill, NY for a new work project. It was fate that the two were both single and wanted to give a dating app a try. They never would have thought the match with each other would lead to their happily ever after! The two officially became a couple on March 10, 2018, in Miami, FL and have been inseparable ever since! Every year the couple visits the same resort and beach cabana to celebrate their anniversary over a glass of champagne.

Just like all great love stories, the two had to overcome a great obstacle; long distance. The job in Fishkill came to an end. Jamel was relocated to Sioux Falls, SD and soon after Southern California. The two had no choice but to travel long distances to see each other. They would only be able to go 3 weeks at a time without each other before Jasmine would hop on the next flight out across the country to see her Prince Charming. After about 2 years of long distance, Jasmine quit her job to become a stay-at-home girlfriend and moved to Walnut Creek, CA to be with the love of her life. Together they have lived in many different cities throughout California, Arizona and Georgia.

It's been an adventure from day one and luckily, they both love to travel. Jamel’s spontaneous trips always put a smile on Jasmine’s face. From Mount Rushmore, anniversary celebrations in Miami, weekends in Vegas, beach hotels in Santa Cruz, romantic road trips up the Pacific Coast Highway, to birthday trips to Greece, Italy and France it is safe to say that the couple loves to travel together. So much so that in 2022 Jasmine accepted a travel nursing position for Jamel's company which now has made Jamel one of her supervisors. Not many couples can pull off living and working together but Jasmine and Jamel wouldn't have it any other way.

On June 15th, 2024, Jamel asked Jasmine to be his wife with the most special surprise proposal. Jasmine and Jamel could not be more excited to enter this next chapter of life together and are so excited to celebrate with all of their loved ones by their side.
