Q + A

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The ceremony will be held at Fishkill Baptist Church and both the cocktail hour and reception will take place at the Grandview Poughkeepsie.

How far is Fishkill Baptist Church from The Grandview?

Fishkill Baptist Church is a 26 minute (14 miles) drive from The Grandview.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Yes! As you probably already know the bride is obsessed with the Kardashians so it would only be appropriate for their wedding hashtag to be #KeepingUpWithTheJoneses

Can I take pictures?

We are going to be having an "Unplugged Ceremony". We ask that you turn off your electronics during our ceremony to ensure you are in the moment and not in the way of our photographers. After the ceremony is complete and the wedding party has exited, you may turn on your devices and take pictures of whatever you wish!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is formal and cocktail attire. Ladies think gowns and cocktail dresses and Gentlemen think suit and tie or sport jacket. We want our guests to all dress to impress!

What colors should I avoid wearing?

White, ivory, cream and neon colors

Where should I stay?

First off, thank you so much for traveling the distance to celebrate with us! We have set up room blocks at three different hotels that are first come first serve. This will be located under the "travel" tab with links provided to each hotel to check availability and book.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event with exception to those in the bridal party. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony and immediate family. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you! Please arrange transportation from the venue if you plan on drinking. We want all of our loved ones to make it home safe!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

A wedding card box will be at our reception.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

While the official wedding ceremony start time will be listed on your invitations we recommend arriving about 30 minutes early to ensure you are in your seats on time for the ceremony to begin.

When should I RSVP?

We will be sending out formal invitations that will have the date to RSVP by. This allows us to give our vendors a correct count prior to the wedding.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can't make it please make sure to RSVP "No" so we can plan accordingly with our guest count for vendors.

What if I didn't RSVP in time?

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided, it will automatically be marked as "No". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
